Social Studies Mister Julian sits, surrounded by his faithful dents, as a speaker gives a talk in front of the cl ,,., . Th Culture Craze It is the most exciting, interesting class in the school, commented Bonnie Stenzler. The two hour long class, taught by Mr. Julian and Mrs. St. John, combined eleventh grade American Literature and the U.S. History requirement. American Cultures dealt with many of the current events which filled our headlines the past year. This encouraged meaningful, of- ten intense, discussions, which enhanced the students high level of participation. 62 Academics The teachers are not trying to see what we don't know, but they want to make us think and apply what we do know, and l think that is a really good approach, said Jill Witte, an American Cultures student. Other social studies classes offered this year were Psychology, World History, Hu- manities, U.S. History, American govern- ment, Political Science and Family Communi- cations. Mr. Marino points the finger at a student to further illustrate his point in his Psychology class as students look on interestedly.
