The Monopoly board remains a unique angle of our quad, even after being sand' blasted. Look inside, at just one of thousands of lockers. and you will see the many different ideas and per- sonalities of P.l-l.'s many students. ffv 12 Q 1 1 I P ,J :X as-s If T T as an hat' up in the four corners? Inch after inch, angle after angle, the Quad was the general, central place to be. The quad served as a lunch spot and an activity area. In past years, students, with permission, were allowed to paint the quad, but unfortunately, like the lockers, that was discontinued. The designs added a creative aspect to school. Among those designs was the popular Monopoly board. Diane Howlett said, 'Alt was all right to sandblast some things, but the Monopoly board has been here since school began in 1968. It was a part of this school. Many Lisa Sirois gets caught in the act as she plans on escaping out the southwest gates of the quad. students felt the same way and viewed the Monopoly board as a Htrademarkf' Perhaps in future years, students will N ur the Monopoly board . . . be able to paint the quad, but for now, it is all but faded. Slam it, jam it, don't let the books fall out, how could students survive without! We, the lockers of Patrick Henry, owe a great responsibility to our student body. Although my job of storing books, bags, backpacks, lunches, and garbage may have seemed boring, we were an important part of your schooling years! Exciting things have happened to me over the years. For example, my front door changed from rainbows to rockgroups and graphics to graffiti, but no more. We then had a strict dress code. We were either green or gold, well, not exactly Patrick l-lenry's green and gold! This code made it hard for students to find their lockers, but each locker's interior had an individual characteristic. I was often designed with wall-to-wall carpet, memo-boards, and the latest sex symbols. Remember, next time the value and importance of a locker is dis- cussed, you got it straight from my angle! When walking through the 'K3OOls hallway, it's easy to see that lockers may get a little messy! 38 Activities , . ,t.,,

Kym Curtis sports the very popular tuxedo look dur- ing an extended lunch period. 'QU in W if Year of the Tuxedo 1982-83 . . . the year of the tuxedo. The fashion most prevalent among girls, and even some guys, was the Htuxedo look. Even be- fore the school year began, the shopping cen- ters displayed hundreds of the very fashion- able outfits. The average Htuxedo lookw buyer went into a store, pawed through fifty white or pink pleated shirts, picked one out and tried it on. Then she came out of the dressing room and headed straight for the basic black pants. Once the outfit was half complete, the next step was to look for a suitable bow-tie, preferably black, and a pair of fashionable black pumps. To ultimately complete the outfit, the Htuxedo lookl' buyer strolled into a hosiery store and chose a pair of pink or white stockings. Voila! Now she headed for school hoping to catch that cute -40 Activities guy in her English class. Steve Prager, a sen- ior, commented, I like them, fthe tuxedo outfitsl but l just wish they vvouldn't hide so ll . wish they wouldn't hide so much much, and they button them up so highf, Other fashions this year included Jordache purses, mini-skirts, rolltop boots, and the ever popular preppy look.
