HThere are some dra- matic sunsets, she laughed. Marga- ret, a junior, has been rowing since 9th grade when she joined a rowing club and, eventually, a competition group. The type of rowing she does is in long skinny boats with seats on sides. 'ilave done all kinds of rowing, the number of rowers ranges from eight to one.', She received her title through the various regattas she goes to. Last summer, Margaret tried out in Oakland, California for the West Coast Junior Team. Two workouts a day won her the lead Apacer seat, and a chance to compete in the Na- tional Sports Festival in Indianapolis. During the festival she was filmed for Wide World of Sports, but she com- plained, None of my friends saw mel There are thirty-two sports in the festival, so Margaret met and stayed with athletes from all over America. The festival prepares prom- ising Americans for the Olympics. As for the Olympic games, Margaret said, 'il don't think lim big enough or strong enough, but l'm not going to stop rowing!
