The B of A program was established to recognize and honor outstand- ing high school seniors whose scholastic achievement, sense or responsibility and evidence Cyndi Zale - Fine Arts of leadership give most prom- ise of future success and ser- vice to society. A Faculty Committee screened out- standing students of Fine Arts and Applied Arts, Liberal Arts, and Science and Math. Additionally each candidates participation in school and community activities was evaluated. The candidates had to have completed or be in the process of completing three years of study in one of the three general areas. Fur- thermore, each student had to have completed an overall GPA of 3.00. Once selected, each student received a certi- ficate of achievement. The committee then chose the to students in each field. Cyndi Zale was the BofA winner in Fine Arts, Sheri Bernstein in Liberal Arts, and Brian Wolf in Science and Math. Cynthia Zale We can be heroes . . . Classes such as metal shop, interior decorating and inter- national trades were offered at schools all over the city and the only price they had to pay was a sometimes lengthy bus ride. Cyndi Stephens was a stu- dent who chose to begin her career as a senior.
