The look at least was dampened, usual- ly leaning more towards distressed. Why, though? Why didn't people like Mondays? Murphy's Laws were written just for Mondays. lt was the day you forgot your essay, the day you drove into Lake Henry and your car battery died, and the day to have cavities filled. Mon- days were just, Hblah days as one sen- ior put it. As the most depressing day of the week, we always had '4blue weather. Besides this, Mondays meant getting up before the sun, rushing and not be- ing late. 'Senior pictures were such a hassle. l had to go all the way to Busco-Nestor's studio in downtown to have them taken, But it was very convenient that I could make an appointment to have them taken any time between July and ll OU want them to look right. November. About two weeks after having my pictures taken, l received my proofs in the mail. From the proofs, I chose one picture to appear in the yearbook and l ordered pictures to be printed to give to friends and relatives. When the prints were ready, l was notified by mail to go to the studio and pick them up. My friend Lisa Haiman really went through a hassle getting her pictures taken. She didn't like her first pictures, so she had them taken again, Then she went down to the studio again to see her proofs and discuss the package op- tionsg and of course, decide on which proofs to use for the yearbook, and for her friends. l was told that seniors paid an average of fifty to 150 dollars for their prints. However, we did not have to buy prints. Instead we could just choose the pose we wanted for the year- book, for which there was no charge. ln addi- tion, negatives were kept on file at Busco-Nest- er in case we wanted to order prints later on. As Lisa Haiman said, Senior pictures are expensive so you want them to look right. Senior Pictures 175
