Since its inding, James Dobbin has been the advi- ' and key man in the execution of this tard. Dobbin explained that lMrs.l Even- 1, when creating the Triple E Award, tnted to recognize the 'igood guy , the nsung hero , the student who displays idership potential but is not in a leader- p position. For this reason she limited alification to those students, currently rolled, who exhibit any of those traits it have made America great todayf' iese traits can be in the community, iool, religious endeavor, the home, or ,ewhere on a volunteer basis. Also press re- leases featuring the winners are sent to all the local newspapers, big and small. ln May, the students are honored at an annual breakfast. The Bel Cantos sing, the band entertains, and a main speaker, of local color, addresses the guests. Valedictorians from the Sports Angle For three of this year's Valedictorians, high school was a hectic combination of mental and physical activity. Rusty An- derson, Tom Fortner, and Andrea Weiss participated in Junior Varsity and Varsity sports while maintaining their 4.00 GPA. Rusty, who played on the JV and Varsity soccer and baseball teams during his three years at Henry, felt that his attitudes to- ward his classes and sports were some- what the same. lt's my competitive spir- it, he said, that's helped me get good gradesf' Tom agreed with him and added that, 'like sports, school is a challenge to me.
