This epidemic is not terribly selective in its victimsg it strikes fat, skinny, smart and stupid. How- ever, except for a few isolated cases, this crippling disorder strikes only 12th grad- ers. This dreaded disease is senioritis. Some of the most obvious symptoms include the need to dance while studying, the urge to go out for pizza, or donuts when you're late for English, a feeling of procrastination in regard to homework, and a constant feeling of boredom and exhaustion. Hundreds suffered from the disease, and were known to spend long hours sleeping, eating, crying and screaming in order to relieve the pain. Patrick Henry From The Senior Angle I feel like I have an important stand- ing in the school. This is my last year, so I might as well try to make the best of it, said Senior Danny Ayyad. Danny felt privileged to go to Patrick Henry. It has a great teaching staff and diverse groups with very interesting people. j Danny feels that one of the biggest 'flaws is the lack of spirit. When asked how school spirit could be more im- proved, he replied, i'There should be more fun activities that everyone could take part in. Danny added that the sophomores and juniors added diversity. UI like watching how they act. They're more openg they donit obsess themselves with being mature. Since Danny was a senior, one of the all 1 ll miss life at Henry. things that constantly occupied his mind was college. I had to decide which col- lege I'm going to and what my major will be. Danny's career goal is to become a congressman or a senator. I'm looking forward to getting out of high school and pursuing college and a career, but I'll miss life at Patrick Henry. ' ....,.,,.,.j:a W V Ar- I Prospective Congressman Danny Ayyad views Henry as a diverse polyglot of people. He is interested in people and notes the major lack of spirit within the school, and especially within the senior class. ...3r - ..Q,,.. , It lk 15 3 ii.. .
