I didn't want a needle sticking in my arm for fifteen minutes, and I didn't want to have a dizzy feeling from giving blood. Although, the donuts and orange juice I'd get for giving blood sounded awfully good. Also, I'd get a free T-shirt. Darn, I was eligible to give blood, I weighed just over 110 pounds, and l'd just turned seventeen years old. Mrs. Nemeroff, the chairperson of the Blood Drive, said that the blood would go into Patrick I-Ienry's Blood Reserve Fund and that any student or faculty member and their family were eligible to receive blood from the fund. By giving blood, I'd feel like I was helping out. My friend, Greg Wenham, helped me to make up my mind. I-Ie said that since I had plenty of it, and they wanted it, I might as well give blood. I decided to go to I-lenry's Hut and sign up to give blood. Stan Bourne Celinda Bowen Be True to yourself, U R the best gift God has given U and others KC. To my surprise, it really didn't hurt that much, it ll he donuts and orange juice sounded awfully good. A felt like a shot. After a few minutes, they took the needle out of my arm. I felt a little dizzy, but it really wasn't that bad. I got to sit down at a table and eat donuts and drink orange juice. Then, they gave me a 'I'-shirt. Overall, I think it was worth it, it gave me a good feeling inside. I think I'll give blood next year. use Austin N5 Q 1 . ,ie 'QT' Thy, .. K

I've got the money for dinner . . . and the movie . . . and ice cream after- wards. Oh, how I wish ERA had gone through. If men and women are equal, why don't we share expenses on a date? What with movie prices up to 55.00 a person, E.T. really will be out of this world! And dinner! El Torito isn't the most expensive place, but it is a nice res- taurant. I'Il spend at least another 510.00 or 312.00 there. Even with my increased ll I don t mind being frugal, but McDonalds ? wage at IVIcDonaId's, I'm only making 33.50 per hour.
