Even with the light drizzle that had begun, the players weren't cancelling the tourna- ment. They were determined to play the intramural preliminaries on sched- ule. ulntramurals are a great way to compete against other players in a sport that's out of season, commented Abbie Zands. 'll've never played the sport in my life, with intramurals I can try it and see if l like it, said Rose- marie l.aCava, a badminton player. Not only is it a great way to play against other people but you get to meet everyone that's playingf' said ll I ts a great day to play. Laura Van Eyck, a badminton player. Some people may think you have to have talent in the sport before you go to play in Intramurals, but that's wrong. Each person learns something every time he plays S you don't have to be good, but it helps, said Dana Weintraub, a racquetball player. Hlt would be great to see more people playing in the program and it would make it more enjoyable for the whole groupf' said Bob Litchfield, a program director. Intramurals held their same solid position of offering students re- creation for their spare time. The many people that played enjoyed the friend- ly competition and the physical activ- ity.
