A Tall Tale Going up for a layup, Center Mark Ferguson scores two points against archrivals Morse. I use my weight l23Ol and my height t6'7'l7 constructively to gain the advantage. said Mark Ferguson start- ing Varsity center. Ferguson has been playing organized basketball since 6th grade when he played in a recreation league. He also played for Pershing Ju- nior High School and in 10th grade was J.V. center and was Varsity center in 11th. 'Ive always played center, I love the contact and competitiveness under the boards. said Mark. Mark is the leading scorer on the team, I get the ball more than the average center. The plays our team ran left me open for many shots. Even though Mark has been playing basketball for many years he still gets nervous before a game. I try to focus my nervousness into better play. 700 Athletics ,writ . 121, r n
