D.C.'s David David Harden tells the coach what hap- pened on the last play. Which one of our basketball players used to live 3000 miles away and was told to go here by a waiter? lt's David Harden who used to live in Washington D.C. All he ever does is talk about DC. said his fellow teammates. That will explain how he got his nickname, DC, When moving from Washing- ton, David asked the waiter, which High School had a good team. The waiter told David that Henry had won C.lrF. last year and had a very strong team. Since David was already coming to Patrick Henry, he got very excited over the prospect of a championship basketball team. Right then, and there, David decided that he would go out and make that team. David had been playing basketball since the third grade. He and his older brother had been playing and practic- ing on Sundays for as long as he could remember. Obviously this helped him immensely, for not only did he make our champion team , but he became a star. David was a team leader as well as being optimistic in all his doings. 96 Athletics Hand on th f'Morse take the championship? No way, they're too finicky!
