Made For You nd Me Weekends-that special time of the week reserved for fun and relaxation. The only chance to get away from the hassles and pressures of hard classes and homework. Whether it was resting up for that special Saturday night date or clowning around on a sunny Sunday afternoon, Patrick Henry students did it with style. Popular weekend activities for the Patriots included surf- ing, skateboarding, skiing, and many other outdoor sports. Some students chose to earn money by doing odd jobs at home or holding down a regular job. One of the favorite pas- times, of course, was sleeping in late. Nights were reserved for dates, parties, or just cruisin' with the gang . Norman Lane fotherwise known as Lover's Lanej was the place for many star watchers on Friday or Saturday nights. The Campus and Ace drive-ins were also frequented by Henry students as were the nearby Square Pan Pizza and lack-in-the-Box. Discos journey, Stratus, and Abbey Road were popular night spots. But, by Sun- day night, many students were sitting at the kitchen table, ask- ing Mom or Dad for help with their English or math, as they fin- ished up with that last minute homework due on Monday.
