Q VGCATIQNAL INDUSTRIAL CLUBS OE AMERICA The Vocational Industrial Clubs of America is a national youth organization of vocational students in high school and junior college who are enrolled in trade, technical, health occupations or industrial arts classes. There are now over 300,000 members and it is the fastest youth group in growth. The Patrick Henry High Chapter has 60 members and is listed as the highest winning chapter in competition in California. PHHS was the first school to have 3 State VICA officers and the National VICA Vice President. In the last state vocational championships PHHS students won 22 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals- more than double the next highest high school. Members have traveled to Miami, Florida, Cinn., Ohio, and will be going to Alabama this Iune for the National Championships and Skill Olympics. Sports Days, Competition at State 81 National levels, car washes, collecting for UNICEF, MD, Seeing Eye Dogs, Christmas Coloring Books and many other activities kept all members on the go. The CAVICA State Conference was held in San Diego this year and PHHS was selected to repre- sent all chapters in southern California as the Host Chapter.
