This year's volleyball club was considerably more skilled than their competitors. Early in the season the club defeated all teams in the city-wide tournament. The official season started with high hopes as the club defeated last year's champions Point Loma, and high- ranked Coronado. This year's swim team started the season with the best chances a Henry swim team ever had to bring home the CIF crown. There were difficult meets, starting with league arch- rival Crawford, followed by meets with the top six teams in the county, which made the road to CIF difficult. This Henry team has finally established Patrick Henry as one of the top swimming powers in the county, a long-range goal for the past four years.
