'W ws 'Rf' t...-, 1 4 MURIEL LYNCH After completing high school, Muriel is going to enter training at the General Hospital. This accounts for her ambition to become a nurse. The HHarvester', is regarded by MMur,, as a superior book. She was on the Criterion staff and a member of the Nature-Science, Bowling, and Skating Clubs. Muriel prefers chocolate cake to any other food. Her hobbies include dancing, skating, swimming, and knitting, while she found English to be her most enjoyable subject. EDWARD McALEVEY t This student's ambition is to secure a good job after graduation. f'Mac's,' favorite subject at E.H.S. was physiography. All sports are the hobbies of this light-haired, green-eyed ambitious young man whose favorite dish is turkey. Tipping the beam at 1410, and meas- uring 5'l0 , ulVlac,s', favorite orchestra leader is Glenn Miller. L laca' certainly is ambitious-she wants to be a good sport and be le to take it when things go wrong. When she leaves Eastside's portals she will become a secretary. 'fBet has been active in the Y MCLAUGHLIN A uf Student Council as secretary-treasurer, Criterion, Red Cross Club, girls' sports and the Senior Mirror. Tall, graceful Betty hasyre- ceived a fifty point emblem for participating in girls' sports. Danc- ing, swimming, walking and basketball are all favorites of Betty's. FRANK W. MCLAUGHLIN Eighteen years old, brown-haired, brown-eyed, and possessor of a high school diploma, Frank will join the job-hunters after gradua- tion. He names that sentimental gentleman of swing, Tommy Dor- sey, tops in the line of music. Fried chicken, English, and A. C. Doyle rank high in their respective fields. too. Frank reads, and builds model planes in his spare time, and leaves Eastside hoping to become a success.

Machine Shop was the favorite subject of this 5'8 blue-eyed, browin-haired M.A. student whose ambition is to be a success at whatever he does. Sammy Kaye is the favorite orches- tra for Ray, who plans to go to work after graduation. l LTER MATACHUN Light blonde hair has earned 5'9 Walter Matachun the nickname of HWhitey7'. This Jimmy Dorsey fan has been active in football, 'ce-skating, and swimming. Nevertheless, sleeping and eating ham- rgers are not overlooked. Still, he hopes Nto accomplish some- iing to be proud of,' some day. CHARLES MAYER 4'Chuck's going to 'cget away from it alln after graduation, and take a nice long vacation up in Maine. He has high hopes of becoming a professional hockey player. Charles' hobbies include ice skating, fishing, hunting and horse-back riding. He found sales the interest- ing subject in high school and held membership in the Dramatic Society. uChuck', goes into raptures and chills when he reads Edgar Allen Poe's weird tales. TARGARET D. MEEK , T tarting all over as a freshie once again is what '4Meekie,, is going do after graduation. Though she was not born down East, Mar- 7 garet is extremely fond of baked beans and brown bread and prefers .fx the music of Andre Kostelanetz to that of any other orchestra. Her 1 ambition is to re-enter Eastsidefs portals as an art instructress. Mar- f7Tx, garet has held membership in the Archery Club, Art Club, besides XQXT the golf and deck tennis teams. She collects almost anything that If pertains to art and is capable of printing and designing her own z Christmas cards. , D U Y X ALICE MENEELY ' This blond young lady is one of the few proud dwners of a girl,s O point LEW as a reward for activity in most girls, sports and iteanis.
