FRE HMA FEATURES On August 31, 1954, thirteen silly, cautious, bashful, green freshmen walked up three flights of stairs into the busy high school world. We anxiously received our books and assignments, then settled down and tried to study. Several weeks later, we elected officers. They are President, Joe Zenzg Vice-President, Pat Noetheg Secretary and Treasurer, Shirley l-Iaberichterg Student Council, Alvena Finn and Bob Anderson. Other members of the class are: Janice Turben, Beverly Kruger, Karen Monroe, Judy Cuchna, Veronica Webb, Lyle Finn, Francis Bass, Ivan Key, and Jerry Ellis. Karen was named our librarian. Every Freshman dreads it, but we had loads of fun on our Initiation Day the last of October. There was a stage show in the gym, and we had to wear our crazy clothes all day. The Sophomores let us be ourselves again when we went to the dance they gave in our honor that evening. To make money, we sold candy, gum, peanuts, and pop at a basketball game, and pop at one of the baseball games. Lyle Finn represented our class on the baseball team. Members of the Freshman Class who play on the basketball team are Bob A. , Jerry E. , Joe Z. , Lyle F. , and Ivan K. Lyle F. , Judy C. , Karen M. , Bob A. . and Alvena F. are regular members of the band this year. At Christmas time, we sponsored a turkey raffle. Tickets were sold on a turkey, rabbit, and chicken. Mrs. Robert Lane won the turkey, Dora Bushbom, the rabbit, and Francys Hayungs won the chicken. We made 830. 00 on the raffle. We look back on a profitable year and hope that we will enjoy the next three years of high school as much as we have enjoyed this one. ' ' f S Mahal 1 I I WTI Wit ...W 'H Eiif?
