Sophomore Class History In the fall of September, 1949, fifteen Freshmen enrolled in Patch Grove High School. At the first class meeting the following offficers were elected: President, Phyllis Jeidyg Secretary, Glen Ward, Treasurer, Evelyn Ouickg Class Representative, Irma Crubaughg and Mrs. Nalan was our class'advisor. Two weeks after school was going, the Sophomores gave an initia- tion dance for the Freshmen. Later the Freshmen gave a return dance. Then Marvin Jochimsen and Carol Borchardt enrolled in school, and after the first semester Janice Redman dropped out and moved to Prairie du Chien. Those who participated in the all school play, NGa1loping Ghostsn were Jean Spangler, Glen Ward, and Theresa Moris. Cheerleading participants were Evelyn Quick and Theresa Moris. The boys on the HAH team were Glen Ward and Clarence Hromadka. The class had their annual picnic at Wyalusing Park. In September, 1950, the Sophomore class had the enrollment of seventeen. Gerry Kasparek and Joan Hinz were newcomers and Janice Redman returned to Patch Grove. The class initiated the Freshmen September 18, and gave them a party that night. The Freshmen gave their return dance on October 27. Those taking part in the all-school play, HBolts and Nutsn were: Phyllis Jeidy, Theresa Moris, Irma Crubaugh, Joanne Hermsen, and Glen Ward. The officers elected for the Sophomore class were: Phyllis Jeidy, President, Irma Crubaugh, Secretary and Treasurerg Gene Taylor, Class Reporter. 16

On September 22 the Sophomores initiated us. They gave us a dance where we played records and danced. . We gave them a return dance on October 27th. We had Del Brown and his orchestra for our music.
