,..-...- THE l-IILLTOP STAR ARD work and some fun sown in the field of the Hilltop Star have reaped a good harvest. The Star received first place honors in the Columbia and the Minneapolis Scholastic Press Association ratings. Under the able leadership of editors Arlene Loede and Miriam Nadler and their assistants, Ann Lynch and Robert Rosenberg, the staff has made the paper chock-full of interesting tidbits and humorous fea- tures. Various types of make-up for the front page have frequently changed the Star's face. The enthusiastic + student support of the paper is shown by the many boxes of peanut chews or lollypops distributed to homerooms having 757 subscriptions at the close of a lively campaign, VFQL5 ' V Q Li R is .3 4 , A.
