Bowie's number one Basketball team. The night of May 28. A wacky world with chocolate syrup poured over it. What's going on. Pirates. The Paseo Family. Hip love. Day long socials. Whatever you make it. Standing up to be seen, speaking to be heard, sitting down to be appreciated. When someone says, I love you. Popcorn and peanuts. A jelly bean rolling down a steep hill, getting squashed by a giant turtle on his way to a sock hop. The fine black women of Paseo. Headhunters. A stupid question. The get down togetherness of our school. The world in trouble. Love. Interscholastic-league first place trophies. A big green onion. Soul train express. Being a proud senior and showing the underclassmen what it is. You got it. Black people on TOP, not on POT. Braids. Gettin' together. A pink- and purple polka dot phantom from Pluto. Serious negotiations. Love in the middle of a world of hate and despair. The Renegade Spade. What it is is what it is and what it was, I have it. It's just another way of starting a conversation. Mr. Pibb. The only great thing you see in the morning is your reflection in the mirror. Loving your brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers and aunties and uncles and cousins and grandmas and. . . Hallwalking and mod freezes. Living, learning and having fun. Pregnaphobia fthe time of year when most girls get heavyl. Being black or white and red all over. Annex antics. When the whole world comes to a stop, but you wanna keep on truckin'. Whistle freaks. A principal with platform shoes. Paseo. Ten speed bikes. A bad Gospel Choir performance. Michael Strickland in a classroom. Jungle Boogie, A fine faculty of friendly folk. Unity, togetherness, and comprehension. Super dooper pooper scooper. A funky low down situation. Getting educated and making something out of yourself. Assemblies. The roaches beating you to the last piece of chocolate cake. Sophomore ships. Strawberry shortcake, gooseberry pie, v-i-c-t-o-r-y. Baggies. Paseo's parking lot demolition derby. Homecomings. When the ugliest teacher looks better than all the other con- testants. Super brains. Getting to go home. Not playing the fool. It ain't nothin' but a thang. Seniors '74. What it is is what it ain't when you don't know what what it is is. Inner soul Blackness. Exorcizing Nixon-with honor. Sanford and Son. It is big and yellow and has two eyes, a nose a big bad mouth and one wart. A low down feeling. Party hearty teachers. What it's supposed to be. Togetherness. Munchos. Living, baby, plain living. It is hip. Time to get down. A humongous elephant with passionately pleasing polka dots. Lunch cards. Mind power. Beautiful students with spirit. Soul rat. Showing off bad clothes and big rides. A school day. Love, peace and happy groundhogs. Being number ONE. When you wake up to a breath of fresh air and die of air pollution. Th-th-th-that's all folks!
