Although Mr. Curtis is new to many of us, he is not new to Paseo. For the last 5 years. Mr. Curtis has served as Principal of Van Horn. Prior to this, he was Vice-Principal at Paseo for 4 years, For 3 years previous to this, he was Vice-Principal at Van Horn, Mr. Curtis has also had experi- ence in teaching at East, Manual. and Northeast Jr. Mr. Curtis holds a M.A. and has attended C.M.S.C., U.M,K.C,,Washington University, and the University of Minnesota. Mr. Curtis' philosophy of education is this: To try to provide the most effective, most current education possible for all students in light of industrial and personal needs. As far as Paseo is concerned, Mr, Curtis would like to improve the gen- eral environment and the instructional program, He hopes that modern teaching methods may soon be adopted. l-le would also like to promote more harmony, goodwill, and orderliness, it Aw FREDDIE LEE SIMPSON came to Paseo during the sec- ond grade period.
