Five years ago, about three hundred dismayed, eager sub-teens entered Paseo High School for the first time. They were all anxious to do things right, but they weren’t exactly sure how to start. Everything was so hig—the building, the teachers and the upper classmen. These inexperienced eighth graders were placing their feet on the lowest steps to the tower. A difficult yet memorable journey lay before each one. And each one would have to make the climb on his own. But waiting to emerge at the end of the years of work and pleasure was the graduating class of 1964. Happiness and sorrow, elation and disappointment would pass among them many times. They would build up hopes and work for goals, and perhaps would see their dreams come fact. Now, five years later, they have reached the uppermost turrets of Paseo’s tower. Their five years have passed quickly and eventfully. and they are ready to begin a new challenge. Where will the knowledge they have absorbed and the thoughts they have known lead them? Within the smallness of our imaginations, only time will tell.

Officers steer class of ’64 President — Jerry Bulavsky Vice-President — Bill McBride Secretary — Tom Hearn Sergent-at-Arms — Carol Albert Facing the Senior Class officers each year are the duties of keeping a class organized. This year’s officers were no exception to the rule of com- petent leadership which Paseo has known. These five worked steadily to make the class of '64 one which would long be remembered by fellow students. Presenting an annual assembly, supervising the designing of a class flag and co-sponsoring a Junior-Sen- ior Prom numbered among their tasks. From the excellent job they have done, it is evident that these officers have led their class to be an out- standing example of behavior in accordance with Paseo’s motto, “Re- member who you are.” 10 Treasurer — Judy Johnson
