The language laboratory is an outstanding feature of the Language Department. Stu- dents who take French and Spanish spend some time each week in the laboratory where they have an opportunity to hear lessons given by persons actually speaking the foreign language. This provides greater contact with the language and makes learn- ing easier. The langiuage curriculum enables students to familiarize themselves with the back- ground on which their own language is built.
