Learning to work together in performing tasks and'coop- erating with each other democratically are other important purposes in the C-L curriculum. With English and Social Studies combined, the new students are not confronted with an abrupt change from grade-school life. Offering Latin, French, and Spanish, students may acquire a well rounded background in these languages. Conjugating verbs, declining nouns, and memorizing vocabulary are among the daily assignments given to the students. Most important of all, students are given the opportunity to show their advancement by Writing stories or poems, using their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.
