Offering Latin, French, and Spanish, students may acquire a well rounded background in these languages. Conjugating verbs, declining nouns, and memorizing vocabulary are among the daily assignments given to the students. Most important of all, students are given the opportunity to show their advancement by Writing stories or poems, using their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. SOCIAL STUDIES Students in Paseo High School's social studies classes learn about the history of the world from the evolution of mankind to present-day problems. Students are instructed in city, state, and national history, and learn United States governmental policies as Well as the history and forms of government used by other nations throughout the world. The social studies courses are designed to give the student w 4 Mr. W. R. Chambers World History the background necessary for good citizenship. Learning to work together in performing tasks and'coop- erating with each other democratically are other important purposes in the C-L curriculum. With English and Social Studies combined, the new students are not confronted with an abrupt change from grade-school life.
