l i Foreign Exchange Student On August 10, 1959, a modern-clay Viking Ship set sail from Aalborg, Denmark, carrying Peter Wang Christensen, Paseo's foreign exchange student. In the following months, Peter's affable personality and excellent sense of humor won him many friends. Senior Class Officers PRESIDENT, STANLEY SCHLOZMAN - Reliable Stan was elected President of his Senior Class, Vice-President of the Student Council, and Discussion Club, Secretary of Engineers, Captain of the Traffic Squad, Sgt.-At- Arms of the Midtown Youth Council, and held mem- bership in the Chemistry Club. He also served as a Student Body Editor of Paseon and was an Eagle Scout. A career in nuclear engineering lies in his future but he is undecided as to which college he will attend. SECRETARY, PAT ROBINSON-This vivacious Pirate was a B-Team and Varsity cheerleader, Secretary of her Junior and Senior classes, Secretary of the Student Coun- cil, Initiator of Zetas and a member of Pep Club, Y- Teens, Mask 8z Wig, French Club, and F. T. A. Pat was chosen ROTC Queen her junior year and the 1959-60 Football Queen. Sports and sewing occupied any spare time. j.C. will claim her next year where she will study for work with some part of the Recreation Department. VICE-PRESIDENT, LARRY DE MAREA -- Friendly Larry served as President of Band, Inter-Club Council, and his homeroom, vice-president of the Senior Class, Sgt.-At-Arms of his Junior Class, and General of the Traffic Squad. He also found time to be an Eagle Scout, member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, the Orchestra, and Engineers. This busy guy enjoyed hunting and drawing and painting. He plans to attend the Kansas City Art Institute next year to prepare for work as a commercial artist. TREASURER, SEREAN GRIESEL-This active Pirate Was Treasurer of her Junior and Senior classes, President of Mask 8: Wig, and jr. Y-Teens, Veep of Quill Bc Scroll, Secretary of All City Student Council, jr. Continuity Of- ficer of the Student Council, and a Representative to the Advisory Board to the Mayor and City Council. Serean was also a member of Y-Teens, Pep Club, Mixer Commit- tee, Zetas, Pepettes, and was a Press reporter and on the Paseon Staff. She still found .time to maintain a place on the Honor Roll. This popular Pirate will be found next year at Washington University or K.U. where she will study art education. SGT.-AT-ARMS, BRUCE KNIGHT-As President of the Student Council, his Junior Class, and Engineers, Bruce proved his leadership abilities. He also represented Paseo at Boys' State, and as United Funds area General, and was on the American Royal Committee and Mid Town Youth Council. He proved his athletic ability by being Cross Country Captain and letterman and a track and basketball letterman. In addition to serving as Sgt.- at-Arms of the Senior Class, active Bruce was a mem- ber of Band, Orchestra, N, H. S., Chemistry Club, Physics Club, Traffic Squad, and Honor Roll and was an Eagle Scout and Warrior of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Next year will find this Pirate at Yale or K.U. where he will major 18 in engineering or secondary education.
