BERT AARON--His car and girls were Bert's favorite pastime. He was a Student Council Representative. After grad- uation, this swell guy plans to go to M.U. and then into business with his brother. BETTY AISIIEY-This cute little gal was a member of Thicions, Y-Teens, Pep Club, French Club, and secretary of her homeroom. Betty was married at the semester. We want to wish Betty and her husband all the luck in the world. PHYLLIS ACTOR- New this year from Texas, Phyllis was a member of A Cappella Choir and the Philharmonic Chorus. While going to high school in Texas this little gal was a member of the vear book and press staff. IACQUELINE ADELMAN-Iackie was an eager member of El Ateneo. She also was a member of the fall play cast. This gal is undecided on which college to attend but she plans to be a kindergarten teacher. WILLIAM AKERS--The Marine Reserves took up most of Duke's time. This guy just loved to pass the time by sleeping. Next year you will be seeing this swell guy on the K.U. campus or at I.C. SHIRLEY ALHERTS-Shirley was one of our C.O.E. students. Commercial studies rated pretty high with this gal. She was a member of the Commerce Club. After graduation she plans to attend the Brooklyn Museum of Art to study dress designing. GAIL ALLEN-This peppy gal was a member of Zetas, Mask and Wig, Drama Workshop, Y-Teens, Student Council, Mixer Committee, Commerce Club and publicity chairman of Pep Club. She was a member of the fall play cast. Next year you'll find Gail on the K.U. campus where she will take up art. MARILYN ALLEN-Marilyn enioys singing, writing, play- ing the piano, and television. After graduation this swell gal plans to go into some clerical practice work. GORDON ALLISON-Tinkering with his car is Gordon's favorite pastime. He was a member of Engineers for two years. The Naval Reserves took up a good part of this guy's time. College is undecided with this swell guy but we know he will succeed in anything he decides on doing. IUDITH ALLISON-Music and traveling are this gal's favorite interests. Iudy was a member of Patricians. Next year you will be seeing this Pirate at I.C. CAROL ANDERSON-Art rates pretty high with this red headed gal. The Kansas City Art Institute will be seeing Carol next year where her goal is to be an interior decorator or a dress designer. BARBARA AYRES-This cute little senior was a member of Zetas, Pep Club. Mask and Wig, Y-Teens, and Student Council. Next year lunior College will have this friendly little gal. DUANE BALDWIN-This shy, good-looking guy was a lineman on the varsity football squad and a member of the Lettermen's Club. He belonged to A Cappella Choir for two years and was a member of the Commerce Club and Biology Club. This swell guy plans to hvae a good job, a wife, and a home. WILLIAM BASILE-Friendly Bill, with his bright red hair, was a member of Iuntos. The Naval Reserves took up a good portion of his time but sports rated pretty high with this Huy- SANDRA BASS-Sandy, with her good looks, was a candidate for R.O.T.C. Queen in her junior year. She was a Student Council Representative, homeroom officer, a member of Y-Teens, Pep Club, and French Club. She was in the fall play in '55, You'll see this little gal on the Oklahoma Univer- sity campus next year. ALVIN BEITCHMAN- Al belonged to Band, French Club, and Drama Vlforkshop. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. This guy plans to go to M.U. or I.C. after graduation. IOHN ISIGGS- Big Iohn was an eager member of Iuntos, Spanish Club, Traffic Squad, and Student Council. This guy added A Cappella Choir and Band to his many activities. Music rates pretty high with him so naturally Millikin Univer- sity will be seeing this guy next year where he plans to become a high school music teacher. KARLA MAE BLAINE-Karla, with her good looks and sweet personality, won her the title of R.O.T.C. Queen '55 and Football Queen Attendant. She was a member of Drama Work- shop, Mixer Committee, Thicions, Mask and Wig, Y-Teens, homeroom ofhcer, and sergeant at arms of Pep Club. She also had time to be a drum majorette. EUGENE FABES - Geneis many achievements and services to Paseo, and his winning personality caused him to be elected Senior class president. Gene's numerous activities included president of F .T.A. and Discussion Club, general of the Traffic Squad, a two-year football letterman, parliamentarian of the Student Council, City Hall Day participant, and a member of the National Honor Society and the Mixer Committee. Harvard, Yale, or Princeton and a career in law or engineering are in the sights of this outstanding senior. GRETCHEN WENDEGATZ-This talented senior was elected as giftorian of her senior class. Gretch was kept busy as president of Y-Teens, Iunior Continuity officer, chairman of the Mixer Committee, first page editor of the Press, on the business staff of the Paseon, and veep of all city Student Council. As secretary of National Student Council, president of Zetas and lnterclub Council, a member of Pep Club, Mask and Wig, A Cappella, Assembly Committee, Quill and Scroll, and the Honor Roll, Gretchen made many friends. She also found time to be a Cheerleader for two-years and a Miss Peppy attendant. She will attend K.U. or Northwestern next year. IIM IEPSON-As vice-president of his Senior class, this popular guy added another honor to his achievements at Paseo. lim was also veep of the Student Council and Iunior class, president of the Lettermen's Club and French Club, an Eagle Scout, City Hall Day and Boy's State representative, and a member of the Press Staff, Chemistry Club, and Mixer Committee. Next year K.U. will claim this senior who wants to become an aeronautical or mechanical engineer. DOROTHY OWENS-This friendly senior was ably chosen secretary of her senior class. As a member of the Paseon Staff, Zetas, Mixer Committee, Mask and Wig, a cabinet member of Y-Teens, Dottie made many friends. She was also elected secretary of her Iunior class and was a member of the Executive Board of the Student Council and Pep Club. K.U. will receive this popular Pirate. TED SHANE - Treasurer of the Senior class was the honor given this talented senior. Ted proved his acting ability as a member of the fall play cast, P.T.A. Play, Drama Workshop, and winner of the Poetry Cup. Keats, Lettermen's Club, the Executive Board of Student Council, treasurer of the Iunior class, Assembly Committee, Tralhc Squad, and Discussion Club all claimed this Pirate. Ted represented Paseo on the football and track team, Debate Team, at Boys' State, and as Paseo's councilman at City Hall Day. His ambition is to be a lawyer. DEAN MOOR-Reporter for the Senior class was the position this popular senior received. Being president of Chemistry Club and Radio Club, a member of Discussion Club, Keats, Traffic Squad, Mixer Committee, Executive Board of the Student Council, Assembly Committee, Paseon Staff, and Sound Crew kept Dean busy. His junior year he served as fourth page editor of the Press, reporter for the Iunior class, and was willed Best Personality by the senior class. Kansas University will receive this Pirate. DICK TURPIN-Football and basketball rated tops in the life of this senior who was elected sergeant-at-arms of his class. Traliic Squad, Paseon Staff. Keats, Lettermen's Club, Debate Team, and homeroom oliicer claimed Dick as a member. As a member of the varsity football and basketball teams, sergeant-at-arms of his Iunior class, and in Student Council, he was kept busy. At K.U. Dick will study to be a petroleum engineer.

MAXINE ISLATTER-Max really enioys music. Playing the piano and listening to the radio passed the time for this gal. After she is out on her own she plans to work and have a million dollars. DON HLOCH - Big Don was one of our great varsity football players who really knocked the other team for a loop. College is in doubt with this guy but we know that he will succeed in what- ever he decides to do. LLOYD BLOODGOOD--You just couldn't help liking this swell guy with his friendly Hi that he had for everyone. He was a member of Radio Club, Sound Crew, and Student Council. K.U. will be seeing this likable guy next year. He will try to succeed in the field of engineering. RICHARD HOEHMER-Dickie was an eager member of the Radio Club. Printing was this guy's favorite class. After graduation his plans are somewhat undecided but a printer sounds like a good occupation to him. ROBERTA BOGDANOFF - This gal was a member of Y-Teens for two years and Pep Club. Roberta just loved to pass her time by talking on the phone. Nebraska University will be seeing this gal after graduation. IACK ISOSSERMAN-Vice-president of Engineers, Interclub Council, Press Staff, Radio Club, Traflic Squad, and track really kept this swell guy busy. To be a successful engineer after graduating from K.U. is his big ambition for the future. BARBARA BOSWELL--This quiet spoken little gal added Pep Club, Mixer Committee. Interclub Representative for Y-Teens, Office Assistant, Thicions, and vice-president of Mask and Wig to her many activities. Commercial art seems to interest Barb. The K.U. Iayhawks will be seeing this gal on their campus next year. MURIEL BROWN-This Pirate was a member of Pep Club and Iotas. Her favorite hobby seemed to be dancing. William Iewell College is for this little gal where she plans to become an educational director. CHARLES BRUUN-To go hunting and fishing seems to be the favorite way to pass the time for this swell guy. Next year he plans to go to K.U. We know he will succeed in whatever field he chooses. CHARLOTTE BURLINGAME--This little gal came to Paseo from Ozark High School. While at Paseo her favorite class was BLAT'rr.u BLoc:ii Bisoooooon IioswiaLL Iinowsr Biwtix CARBAH C.'iRLsoN Canvi-3v'reR clothing since she enjoys sewing in hei' spare time. Business college seems to be where this little gal is headed for next year. RANDOLPH BURTON-This senior just seemed to enjoy everything. The future is still undecided with this guy but We know he will succeed in whatever he does. ANNETTE CAPPER-Annie, with her sweet personality, was a earnest member of Pep Club, Y-Teens, and an Office Assistant. In her spare time she worked for the Civil Defense Unit. This little gal will be at Kansas State University next year. To be a home economist, bacteriologist, or a dietitian sounds pretty good to her. BONNIE CARBAH-This little gal was one of our quiet little seniors. She hasn't decided what she will do in the future but we know she Will be a big success in whatever the future offers her. ROGER CARLSON-The talent assemblies saw this guy and his Dixieland Band playing some real cool iive. He belonged to Chemistry Club, Discussion Club, Band, and Engineers. A definite college is still in doubt with him but he plans to go into chemical engineering. TERESA CARPENTER-This bright red haired gal was a R.O.T.C. Queen Candidate her senior year. Also she was a member of Pep Club, Y-Teens, Patricians, Mixer Committee, Advanced Girls' Chorus, and treasurer of Commerce Club. K.C.U. or the Art Institute will be seeing friendly Terry next year where she plans to get an art degree. CATHERINE CARROLL-Mrs. Sterk, as she is now known, would like to take some advanced courses in sewing and cooking so she can make a better wife for her husband. Cathy was a member of Girls' Chorus and participated in girls' sports and lifesaving. CAROL NADINE CHATFIELD-Iotas, A Cappella Choir, Oflice Assistant, Chemistry Club, Student Council, and Advanced Girls' Chorus were iust some of the things that kept Nadine busy. This sweet gal plans to take nurse's training at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis and try for her R.N. and B.S. degrees in that field. IACK CHESNEY--Iack's friendly smile and pleasing person- ality won him many friends at Paseo. He belonged to A Cappella Choir, Traflic Squad, Commerce Club, and Student Council. This good-looking guy will be winning many more new friends at Michigan University where he will study to be a conservation agent.
