President-HUGH CHAPMAN Being as Hugh Chapman has just taken his seat in office we cannot say what he will accomplish as the year rolls on. But we do know he will do an excellent job and be a well remembered leader. By the time you get this yearbook you will however, know what he and his council have accomplished. There most likely will have been a few up-to-date corrections made in our Constitution, plus other improvements in school government. So now we would like to wish Hugh and his council luck in the coming semester even though we do know they'll do an excellent job. COUNCIL AT WORK ASSOCIATED STUDI' NT BODY OFFICERS Second Semester

ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY OFFICERS Q1 fi. A Vice President ED ROSANE Secretary JACKIE SHUPE Treasurer F zrst Semester President-JIM DAVIDSON In Jim D3V1dS0H7S term of office he accomplished an im- proved method of student government. The ASB also succeeded in obtaining a safety drivers course for the learning and im- provement of student drivers. They also helped with the MARY ELLEN SYLVESTER YVIA conference this year. Many more students belong to the ASB other than pictured on this page. The only reason why they aren't is that there is no room for all of them. So in conclusion we would like to thank them for the improve- ment of student government they have obtained this term. COUNCIL AT WORK 'i wax my f 5 4

The boys' team won one match and girls lost both matches. Both the boys' and girls' teams were weaker than they will be in the spring of 1953. The boys' team was weakened by the loss of the Nearents twins, who were the Yakima Valley High School Doubles Champions, and by the fact that several of the boys were out for football. A promising transfer however, was obtained from Gonzoga High School, in the person of Gary Laz- zaro, singles player. The girls, team also was weak- ened considerably, Rosalie Smith, the number one girls' singles player moved out of the state. Pat Fast, a member of the Yakima Valley Girls under 15 doubles team runnerup injured her back and was unable to play, and sev- eral other letter winners de- cided not to turn out till spring. It is hoped that Pas- co's Tennis Squad in 1953 may repeat its Tennis Cham- pionships of 1952. Q3 9 Q YL. Q0 ,SNQO Q . 5, K 6 X . H . wtsar 'st2fw' er' 3 .Kb t 5' ao. 135. gas' .
