The bright red and white uniforms and stirring music catch the eye and ear at ball games, as- semblies and parades. This year the band participated in all nine football games. The parades they attended were the Latin Fiesta, Strawberry Festival, Sara Desoto Pageant, Fla. Southern College Founders Dav, Fun In The Sun, Founders Day in Zephyrhills, and many local parades They were present for the Post Cffice de dication, pep meetings, assemblies, and competed in the District Contest in Winter Haven. They opened baseball season, gave as sembl concerts and held their annual Y 1 E Spring Concert in April. At the end of the season we had a conference standing of 5-l and a season record of 5-4. In the conference we tied for first place with Bartow and Plant City. We had two on the all-conference team this year, Bennett More and Gene Alford. The foot- ball manager was Mac Holmes.
