M iChae' H Obby has been involved in many school activities including Beta Club, National Honor Society, and Key Club in which he served as vicepresident his senior year. in addition to his club responsibilities, Michael was an active member of the Panther yearbook staff for three years. He served as assistant editor of the yearbook during his junior year and became editor his senior year. He has received the honor of being listed in ths Who Among High School Students and was awarded the prestigious Danforth Foundationis iii Dare You Award During his junior year, Michael was selected to attend Boys State Mississippi State University is where Michael will pursue a degree in marketing. , ;

Jahn Grant played varsity baseball and football at P.H.$. and maintained an At, average. He received scholasic achievementtawards in baseball his junior year and football his senior year. A member of the gifted class, John served as co-vice-president his senior year. He recieved the English II and citizenship awards in the tOth grade. As a junior, he was a Boys, State delegate. John was a member of Beta ClubI National Honor Society, Key Club, and Fellowhip of Christian Atheletes. In football John recieved the Most Outstanding Receiver Award and was honored by selection for the Burger King Team, lst team All-State, and All-District Team. Also as a senior, Tohn was voted Mr. P.H.S., Senior Class Favorite, and the Most Likely to Suceed. John is undecided on his choice of eolleges at the present but has decided to enter the field of medicine or law.

Shane Matthews was a very active student during his two years at P.H.S. A PrincipaPs Scholar, he was an active member of Beta Club, Key Club, and Student Council. Shane lettered in the sports of football, baseball, and basketball and quarterbacked the 1987 season and 5A State Champions. For his accomplishments in football, Shane received numerous honors including the Mississippi Sportswriters Association uPhayer of the Year. In ths Who he was chosen Senior Class Favorite and Most Versatile. Shane will attend the University of Florida on a football scholarship.
