From here the two winners attended a national conference in Atlanta. The clust sponsor is Mr. David Van Veghel. 127 Panther Pen The Pamher Pen, our P.H.S. newspaper staff, was a vital link in school life this year. The staff reported on the many social, academic, and athletic aspects of our campus life. These students dedicated themselves to producing an award-winning newspaper that was published bi-monthly. Eighty- ' six The P.H.S. Annual Staff was quite busy this year. New computers, a new adviser, and a hurricane that made all publishing deadlines fall later in the year, gave the staff many new challenges to deal with. Participation in school activities was not slighled as the staff geared up for homecoming activities and designed a ganster float for the annual parade. A successful beauty and beau pageant was produced in February, and the staff found it exciting with the addition of the men in this year's pageant. Almost Anything Goes was the sight of a popcorn and coke sale for all its hungry and thirsty participants. After running many of the schooFs elections, the staff closed out the year by naming twelve very special slydems to the P.H.S. Hall of Fame.
