Friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic, Denise is a friend to the individual student and a credit to the entire student body. Although she is active in many school activities, Denise,s grades have not suffered; she consistently makes the honor roll. Mr. PHS Tommy H anson Tommy Hansonis activities and accomplishments are indeed versatile; they range from President of our active Stu- dent Council to a member of the K. R. Prill Minimum Rhythm and Blues Band. Tommy is active, involved, intelli- gent, and concerned; he is friendly and fun-loving. Deserv- ingly, he has worked through advanced classes and many extracurricular activities of PHS and has'won a place in the Hall of Fame. We congratulate Tommy. She has served as varsity cheerleader fvr three yearS. a delegate to Girls, State. and President of the Annex Beta Club. She was elected Miss PHS. and claw favorite in her sophomore andjunior years. Denise also was honored in being chosen as a member of Teen Cmmcil 69 Hall ofFame . Karen Engdorf Karen. like her twin sister, has been an involved student at PHS. She participated in all phases of Junior Civi- tan and was elected its District Secretary. She was also active in Student Council, serving anecretary. She has served the school as a varsity cheerleader for three 1 sears and was selected as class favorite and beauty. He was elected Senior Class Favorite and Mr PHS Besides being in Rock Music Club and JETS Tommy represented PHS as mayor in Student Government Day. He was voted best offensive lineman and player of the Panther 1mm. 76 Pamela A nne Roush Serving in many areas. Pam was active at PHS. She has served as Beta Club President Vice-President of the Choraliers. and Co-Editor of the Panther. Pam was honored as first runner- up in the Pascagpula Junior Miss Pag- eant and was a representative of Teen Council. Also she received the Senior Citizenship Award and was selected NHS student of the month. I Hall ofFame Doretta Kim Smith r Kim has been a bright face at PHS. She has been a member of the Vocational Office Training Program and was employed at the Pascagoula High School Annex. She was honored to be selected as Miss Congeniality and third runner-up in the Pascagoula Junior Miss Pageant. She also represented Pascagoula in the Miss Civitan Pag- cunt. 77 Azuniu Mr. Bobby E'Canty Assistant Principal I The responsibilities of an assistant principal are endless. thus to succeed in this position a mans capabilities must more than match the responsibilities promised. At PHS we are fortu- nate to have an administrator whose practical assets outdo by far the limitations offered by his job. Mr. Camtyis realization of the importance of the students problems and 0f the necessity for enforcing existing rules has shown his sin- cere dedication to the job of being ASSistant Principal of Pascagoula High School. 80 Mr. J. J. Milsteqde Principal . Few men possess the sincerity and dedication that characterize Mr. J. J. Milstead. Since the time of his arrival at PHS. Mr. Milstead has been active. as well as instrumental, in all phases of student life. He has continualry pro- vided a youthful exuberance which has enabled him to gain the affections of students and RIC- ulty alike. Most important. Willie J ohnson A nnex Principal Principal Willie Johnson is a man who must undertake much responsibility and more. must possess the utmost in fairness. patience. and iudgment. Through the yeari teachers and stu- dents alike have seen these requirements ful- filled to a high degree through the inexhaustible efforts of Mr. Johnson. A close friend to the stu- dents. he constantly strives to make their goals a little more easily obtainable. M r. His ability to cope with any situation is undoubtedly the primary reason for his success. The Panther defense was indemitable, and this game was really a defensive battle, until J eff Saegert recovered a fumble and returned it to the Tiger 15. This set up Pas- cagoula,s winning TD by Rick Nyers. Pascagoulais defense then shut the door on the Tigers, when Mark Brown recovered a Hattiesburg fumble to ice the Victory.
