4 The yearbook begins in the summer! ln Xugust. the editors. Pat Wvendelken and Nelda lloss along with the yeurlrook sponsor. Nlrs. Koeh- ler. attended an annual elinie in San Hureos. There they studied the prineiples and teelmiques of eom- piling 21 yeurlmook. After spending a full five days. Put und Nelda lnrought their ideas and knowledge lmek to the other staff memhers to he put into use. Several were sug- gested and voted on. As you know. Hkeysv was the choice. Everyone worked together to work the theme through the hook and Compose a suitable eover for the hook. With Arden Thayer putting our ideas on paper. the cover and division pages were drawn.

Society Editor, was caught un- aware one day by Bobby Starbuck. He found her sketches of the theme and pictures for her section, and had to be silenced with a special picture in the yearbook. The staff thinks it is better to have the contents known only to them before the book comes out. All year. as some special activity took place, Toni Morris. staff photographer and Club lfclitor, was seen snapping pictures around campus. He took-activity shots for the class editors. and he and Frances Stricklin, our commercial photog- rapher, worked together getting the other pictures made.
