f Heir to the meticulous job ot registrar is Dr. Una Wickes. Charged with keeping tabs on truancies, cuts, and a myriad of other attendance irregularities, Dr. Wickes is a busy person. lt is the registrar who is responsible tor much ot the disciplin- ary action resulting from these attendance problems. Addi- tionally, Dr. Wickes attended to the enrollment and checking out ot hundreds ot students during the year. The special curriculum, which makes it possible for students to go to school until l o'clock and then spendthe rest ot the day at work, had an enrollment of over 200. In addition to this, Mr. Burns organized and carried through the Youth Day program, which gave many interested students a chance to try on their prospective careers tor size. An educational program ot depth as well as breadth and a goal held in tocus by high achievement in every tield make ours a future un- limited. The taculty and students have laid well the foundation stones of quality in both learning and living. On the shoulders ot these tive counselors tell the often thankless task of providing advice and guidance to over 1800 Bulldogs. Since each full-time counselor is in charge ot 500 students, he must spend much time after school in order to do an adequate iob-still he never quite gets caught up. The magnitude ot this iob is diiticult to understand from the outside. Much of the time of the counselor is spent in talking out the problems of adolescence with troubled students, this is a process that cannot be hurried. ln addition to this, the counseling statt must program all their charges twice a year.
