Class History We, the Senior Class, leave PHS with some of the happiest and most cherished memories of our lives. It has been four years of work, determin- ation, and fun. We hope you will enjoy this yearbook as much as we will when in the future we take a backward glance. Freshman '66 With 80 members, the Freshmen of 1966 entered PHS as the smallest class in many years. Their officers were Danny Wade, president; Doris Sha- han, vice-president; Tom Gutshall, secretary; Scott Hovatter, treasurer; Car- olyn Weese, cheerleader. Student Council representatives were Doris Sha- han, Carl Grandstaff, and Scott Hovatter. Their appointed sponsors were Mrs. Ruth Mullenax, Mr. Howard Ashby, and Mrs. Diane Bennett. Sophomore '67 As Sophomores, the 81-member class tried to add a few dollars to their penniless treasure by selling peanuts and candy. We went to the State Basket- ball Tournament and one of our boys, Kenny Smith, made State All-Touma- ment Team. We elected as our officers Edina Williams, president; Rita Tur- vey, vice-president; Doris Shahan, secretary; Bradley Ramsey, treasurer; Car- olyn Weese, cheerleader. Student Council representatives were Brian Bennett, Edian Williams, and Anne Kee. Class sponsors were Mr. Chuck Raad, Mr. Howard Ashby, and Miss Karolyn Lowther. Junior '68 With the Junior-Senior Banquet coming up, the Junior Class was busy selling sweatshirts and candy; they were also in charge of the bookstore. Class officers were Edina Williams, president; Rita Turvey, vice-president; Tom Plumley, secretary; Randy Moore, treasurer; Patty Pennington, cheerleader. Student Council representatives were Lois Morrison, Cora Rummel, and Tom Gutshall. Class sponsors were Mr. Howard Ashby, Mrs. Ruth Mul- lenax, and Miss Karolyn Lowther. Senior ’69 With 58 students, one of the smallest classes to graduate since 1946, we leave with many cherished memories. We set a new PHS football record, 8-2. We also find that Mr. Howard Ashby is our only sponsor to have been with us all four years, for our final officers we elected Anne Kee, president; Brian Bennett, vice-president; Cora Rummel, secretary; Rita Turvey, treasur- er; Edian Williams, cheerleader. Student Council representatives were Anne Kee, Tom Gutshall, Bradley Ramsey. Class sponsors are Mr. Howard Ashby, Mrs. Ruth Mullenax, and Miss Karolyn Lowther. This page is sponsored by PAT J.
