MISS GRACE BRIGHT MISS MARIE UPSCOMB In the picture below, Miss Lipscomb is clean- ing the snow from her walk. As you can easily see, she is getting plenty of help from her dog. It is a little too snowy for golf, one of her fa- vorite pastimes. No longer at PHS but missed and fondly remembered are Miss Grace Bright and Miss Marie Lipscomb, two Junior High teachers who gave the students of Tucker County more than a combined 80 years of dedi- cated service. Both gave of themselves to the unselfishly bet- terment of PHS'ers regardless of size, shapes, or in- tellects. The value of their careful guidance and counseling to those entering this school for the first time is immeasurable. Miss Lipscomb's sparkle and wit has enlivened many a science class, as well as endeared her to the students and faculty. Thorough instruction in her social classes was one of Miss Bright's trade marks. The high Christian and moral principles she always held up before her students will stand as a memorial to her teaching career. Miss Bright has turned seamstress and is shown mak- ing a dress on her new machine. In acquiring the new pastime, she has a very able teacher, her ninety-four year-old mother.

Man through the ages, has seeked to further his knowledge, or to develop a certain skill, which in turn would better his life. Everyone who possibly could, should further their education through college, but everyone can’t. Instead we have vocational schools and other schools of instruction. When we finish our institutional training, our education is not complete because education is a life-long task. Boo tfL 0h' GduCOtiOlv 8 (L. to R.) Lawrence Losh; H. A.
