CLASS OF »52 BY BRADY LYNN STEPHENSON Again in dear ole P. H. S. it's time .for another senior class to bid farewell to classmates, teachers, and to all the activities we have loved so dearly during our years in Parsons High. Yes, once again the curtain falls on a graduating class. The page has been turned to bring the book to a fold on the final year. To our friends, the freshman through the juniors, we're just another class, but to us we're a special group and we wish to cherish 8nd remember, in years to come, those glorious days known as School Days . These will remain as precious ones to us always. The history of our senior class starts and dates back to the year of '4£. This was our main leap on our ladder to a higher education and goal. One hundred and twenty studious students entered Parsons High as members of the Freshman Class; the start of our four years in high school. Our freshman year proved to be a successful one. The organization of our class resulted in the following officers; president, Jo Ellen Oaster; vice president, Brady Lynn Stephenson; secretary, Robert Plum; reporter, Madonna Bowley; historian, Richard Kisner; and Madonna Barr, cheerleader. We selected Hazel Hull Bennett and John W. Jones as our sponsors. Our main project of that year was the sponsorship of a play titled Bobby Sox Brigade . The cast was composed of Jo Ellen Oaster, Sue Flanagan, Mary Jane Dumire, Deloris Reel, Harry Good, Alice Harris, and Lyle Loughry. The freshman had more students making the honor roll during the school term than any other class. Jo Ellen Oaster, Mary Jane Dumire, and Brady Stephenson placed first, second, and third to lead the honor roll. Those representing us on the football squad were Harry Good, Tommy Brown, Lyle Loughry, and Eugene Kepner. Don Nestor made the reserve team in basketball. we entered our sophomore year with flying colors. The second step on the ladder had been reached. Harry Good was elected to head our class with Brady Lynn Stephenson as vice president; secretary Allen Pleasant; reporter, Mary Jane Dumire; historian, Tommy Brown; and cheerleader, Madonna Barr. This year we selected Sallie English to assist Mr. Jones as our sponsor. On the football squad for that year we were represented by Harry Good, Lyle Loughry, Tommy Brown, and Eugene Kepner. Harry Good made the varsity in basketball. The girls' basketball team placed second in the class tournament. Vera Moore was voted the prettiest girl and Jack Snyder the most courteous boy with Jo Ellen Oaster the best dressed girl in the annual popularity contest. The sophomore girls served at the annual Junior- Senior banquet. As their part of the entertainment, they presented an action song, Take Me Out To The Ball Game.
