HOMER BROOKS Red, white, and blue were the colors that symbolized a small but patriotic group of Seventh Graders in Parsons High School in 1943-44. Sometimes dubbed ‘green but growing', they lived up to the growing part, and took their places in the annals of Parsons High School. They handed in as their candidates for the Hall of Fame their officers, their Honor Roll members, their athletes, their club members, and the unnamed heroes who worked so faithfully in every undertaking of the class. Freshmen have contributed greatly to an excellent Junior High basketball team. Members were: Jack Gable, Pete Ketterman, Milton Arnold, Jack Gilmore, Bob Bar- ton, Jack Rhodes, Ford Barr, and Sonny Ours. The team followed a successful season with seven wins against three losses. The tournament for Junior High was held at Daily, March 4 and 5. Jack Gilmore and Jack Gable played as substitutes for the reg- ular high team.
