7aacA Competetive track and field events made their first appearance at Parsons since before the war. With Coach Howard lVlcIlrath at the helm, the 40 man squad whipped themselves into condition for six impor- tant meets. The hrst two affairs were dual-meets with Penn and Iowa Wesleyan. On April 25-26 the Wildcats represented themselves in the Drake Relays by sending men to compete in the following events: 2- mile relay: I-mile relayg one-half mile relayg and the open 2-mile run. The most important event of the season was the meet held at Simpson on lV1ay l6-l 7, when thirteen conference teams were scheduled to compete for the Iowa Conference championship.
