M artha jane Easton The very quintessence of enthusiasm is this organization of pepper-uppers . These girls selected by the Student Council are the foundation of pep programs. Many were the dramas presented before the open mouthed students with the object of rousing pep. Melodramas which had not been on the board for years became vehicles for blushing maidens four tearnj and black bearded villians ftheir team, and many were the pitfalls waded to reach victory at last.

M iriam Thomas YELL LEADERS MEIER PEDRICK GAGE The largest club on the campus at Parsons is the Booster Club, composed of all Boosters. The aim of the Booster Club is to encourage the highest ideals of sports- but all campus activities gain support from the Booster Club. Team 'em up, bust 'em up, fight, team, fight is not an elegant way to say come boys do your best for the school now but it means the same in the vernacular of Boosters. The aim of the Booster Club is to encourage the highest ideals of sports- manship and friendship between competing schools and at home. Pep-meetings are held on the eve of each battle. These arouse the student body and encourage the players. Outside speakers were secured including many local graduates and the president of the Iowa Wesleyan student body. Many were the interesting and informative speeches exhorring us to equal past glories of P. C. The yell-leaders, yelling their lungs out for Parsons were: Rosemoe Gage, Betty Meier, and Willard Pedrick. By the use of many symbolic gestures these lirebrands imparted their fire to players and students.

A. has done everything in its power to further the social and spiritual life of the campus. With the cooperation of the Y. W. C. A. it has carried through the all college mixer, a progressive party and the picnic in the spring. Another much appreciated activity is the second-hand book store which enables many students to purchase their books more cheaply. The planning of Y. M. C. A. activities is done by an executive council composed of the officers and committee men. These are men -seriously interested in Y work. Their endeavor has been to discover the needs of the students and to plan to Hll these needs. N Meetings were held at the beginning of the school year to help the men of the college to become better acquainted with fellow students. Many common interests were discussed and a fine fellowship resulted. Later in the year the Y. M. C. A. cabinet supported the establishment of the International Relation Club. This club is rapidly finding a place in the activity of the students and is filling a need today.
