R obert Long The student government body has functioned for the past thirteen years, acting on such matters as Green caps, the Freshman-Sophomore scrap, Button Day, and Campus Day. Probably the main purpose of the council is to serve as a medium of communication between students and faculty. This group tends to preserve and promote the best traditions and ideals of college life. Its powers are both legislative and judicial. Meetings are held throughout the year and the work is carried on through the co-operation of faculty members.

D orothea Sharps The Association of Women Students was organized on the Parsons College Campus and voted into the membership of the National Association in 1927. This organizaf tion includes in its membership the girls of Ballard Hall and the junior-Senior House, and also the girls whose homes are in Fairneld. Its purpose is to foster a democratic spirit of friendliness and cooperation between all women students and to promote a better and fuller social life.
