The necessity for Parsippany building its own high school was realized in l953 when the Board of Education of Boontan told the Township ot Parsippany Troy-Hills that they would not be able to accept our students after September l956. The architect, submitted plans for the high school and these were ap- proved in October, l954. Construction started immediately and the FIRST stage of the school was opened in September l7, l956. Parsippany High School at present is constructed to accommodate eight hundred students. Another wing, may soon be added accommodating students. The dedication of Parsippany High School on February 2, l957 repre- sented a unique milstone in the growth of the educational system of Parsippany Troy-Hills, New Jersey. The graduating class ot l959 would personally like to express their deep gratitude to the people of Parsippany for supporting our school to their outmost.
