The PEP CLUB is an organization which promotes school spirit. Some of the projects of the club are: taking buses to the away ballgames, making signs to support the teams, and generating good sports- manship. The MONOGRAM CLUB promotes good sportsmanship and fair competition in sports. It also tries to generate an interest in the students for sports. Selling refreshments at games, purchasing letter jackets for Monogram winners and buying other special awards for the athletes are among the projects of the club. 28

The JR. RED CROSS is open to all students interested in working with the Red Cross of their com- munity. Activities for this year included filling ditty bags for the servicemen in Viet Nam, and sending chests filled with needed articles to a disaster area. With these and other projects, the club hopes to make a lasting contribution to the National Red Cross Movement. The FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICA is an organization of girls studying home economics in the junior and senior high schools of the United States. Any student enrolled in home economics may be a member. The purpose is to help individuals improve personal, family, and community living.
