Twelve years ago the Class of 1970 began long journey through education. School meant six hours a day, homework, and grades. It also meant ball games, dances, clubs, and friends. But all the years ended suddenly. In a short ceremony the Class came to- gether for its last meeting—graduation. The only rem- nants left are many memories, a ring, a diploma, and a dim recollection of someone crying, ‘Seniors are great!”’ Farewell to the past; A slaute to the future. It’s over. 32 IN MEMORY Scott Kendall Harrison When Death strikes down the innocent and young, for every fragile form from which he lets the panting spirit free, a hundred virtues rise, in shapes of mercy, charity, and love, to walk the world, and bless it.
