Band, this year was directed by Mr. Landon Temple, Jr., a graduate of East Carolina University. The Marching Blues performed precision drills and played before all football games and during half-time activities. This created a livelier interest in the games and in the band itself. They also participated in Christmas parades in Clifton Forge, Lexington, Glasgow, and Buena Vista. The band was the proud winner of first place in Glasgow, and third place in both the Lexington and Buena Vista parades. The Band Captain, Keith Glass, was selected to attend the Virginia All-Regional Band Conference in Harrisonburg.
