Gor P.M. . S. The health and physical education program is designed for the eighth, ninth, and tenth grades. It is aimed at the development of physical skills, emotional stability, ' mental alertness, and social adjustment in each student. The physical education program endeavors to maintain physical fitness; teach sportsmanship, courtesy, honesty, and cooperation through participation in individual and team sports, dance and other activities. The health program teaches body structure and care; the importance of a well- balanced diet, and the value of good health attitudes and habits. Together health and physical education can develop in eachindividual the skills to select healthful leisure activities and nurture sound social development. 25

The Hi-Y Club is the Young Men's Christian Association in the high school, committed to a Christian purpose. This is a non-denominational organi- zation composed of high school students of all faiths, who desire tobelong to a club interested in moral and spiritual values. This organization is not a fraternity, a sorority, a social group, or a clique. Its purpose is to create, main- tain, and extend throughout the home, school, and com- munity high standards of Christian character. The club platform is clean speech, clean sportsmanship, clean scholarship, and clean living.
