Patsy Allenleavesher ability to get Covington boys to Linda Faye Lawhorne. Mary DeLuca leaves her witty ways to Marolyn Sandidge. Sandra Tomlinson leaves her curly hair to her sister, Billie Jean. Madison Long leaves his ability to camp out in winter to Beaver Huffman. Wally Turnage leaves his ability to forget to Mark Green. Susan Loughhead leaves her ability to push a baby buggy to her brother, Dutch. Eva Austin leaves her good times at the square dances to anyone who can find a dollar to get there. Dorothy Stinnett leaves her grades to her baby brother, Buck. Ray Huffman leaves his ability to quit skippin to Bobby Tomlin. Doris Tomlin leaves her size to Phyllis Walmer, Maxine Greene leaves her place in the senior class to her brother, Jimmy, -if and when he gets there. Vernon Staton leaves his fullback position on the football team to Ronnie Shafer. Ralph Mikels leaves his ability to get along with teachers to Joe Glass. Victoria Malley leaves. her unwanted name, Frenchie , to her sister. Spike Camden leaves his ability to get out of class without skipping school to Donald Burch. Buck Clark leaves his small hands to Donald Bates. Wayne Garrett leaves his sideburns to Ollie Stinnett. Iris Green leaves her ability to study to her brother, Joe. Martha Ann Wills leaves her ability to drive to school every day to anyone crazy enough to do it. Douglas Hill leaves his car keys to his Fresh- men buddies. Franklin Clark leaves his ability to win arguments to anyone who needs it. Eddie Patterson leaves his winning ways with the teachers to Joe Wheeler. 22 Jean Wheeler leaves her ability to give excuses for going to the dentist and getting caught at it to her brother, Joe. Ernestine Claytor leaves her naturally blonde hair to Peggy Dudley. Pete Robey leaves his crew -cuts to those duck- tail cats. Linda Felts leaves her ability to date N.B. boys to Martha Lou McCormick. Ruth Chaplin leaves her ability to get out of class to her sister, Mary. Lavone Byers leaves her height to Gloria Jean Davis. Florence Coleman leaves her ability to get to the band bus on time to the other majorettes and band members who cannot make it. Sheldon Sorrels leaves his ability to grow a beard to Donald Bates. Jimmy Carter leaves his position on the athletic benches to Harry Carter. Donald Staton leaves his ability to pester girls to Johnny Greene. Gladys Burch leaves her ability to get a steady to her sister, Mattie. Barbara Patterson leaves her size to Phyllis Moore. CLASS PROPHECY As you wander through the garden called Life which is sometimes lovely andsometimes gloomy, you might see the members of the Class of '58 standing stalwarthly straight in their specific fields. To enlighten you on your journey I shall tell what has been the destination and achievement of each in these twenty years. Patsy Allen, who as mostof you remember liked men, is now the manager of the Buena Vista Y.M.C.A. Eva Austin whose ambitionwas to get out of town has circled the globe many times and has written the Austin Geography. Gladys Burch has spent most of her time discipling her twelve children. Nancy Burch who always talked too long when giving a speech is famous for her address, How To Get A Diamond For Keeps . Lavone Byers and Doris Tomlin are Richmond house - wives, They are still pals and work together as dress designers. Remember the number of girls Eugene Camden always had? Well, he told the last one that he would climb the highest mountain for her, so he is still climbing and is becoming a famous mountain climber. Jimmy Carter, the naive type the girls all went for, is still afarmer. He raises prize cattle. Ruth Chaplin is now in Hollywood where her Southern beauty and charm have won the hearts of many. Bucky Clark has accomplishedhis great ambition and has become the world's greatest crane operator. Franklin Clark, after graduating from college where he majored in history, has become a great historian. Ernestine Claytor leftfor Hawaii after graduation and is still there.doing the Hula. Florence Coleman whose ambition was to become a beautician, is now the owner of New York's largest beauty salon. Mary Ann DeLuca, known as the girl with a smile, is a model for the Smile Awhile Toothpaste Company. Linda Felts, the Florence Nightingale II, is happiest at the hospital caring for wounded space cadets. Wayne Flint who graduated from V.P.I. has just com- pleted the plans for a new White House in Washington. Judy Gallier, anurse, is quite excited over getting the position of stewardess on a Ship to the Moon. Be sure to read the comics because an old classmate of ours writes them. Wayne Garrett has four strips of comics in every paper in the country. Lewis Graybill tried hard to be serious, but it just couldn't be done. He is acomedianon TV, taking the place of Bob Hope. Iris Greenrealizedher dream. Sheisnowa secretary and has a lovely modern office in Miami. Oh, well, some girls can live on shorthand and typing but others prefer being ahomemaker. Maxine Greene, for instance, prefers cooking, cleaning, and sewing for her children, aS Doug Hill has returned to his old school, V.P.I., and is teaching. The young cadets call him ''Major Hill . Herman Huffman whose ambition was to sleep a long time just woke up the other day. Raymond Huffman, who helped to keep the cigarette company in business while he was in high school, now owns the Nice-Puff Cigarette Company. Barbara Kline, that cat from New York, got into the fieldof T.V. Now she tells her wild tales to large audiences. Madison and Billy Long turned out to be great scientists. They constructed the largest satellite ever to be sent up--Longnik. Victoria Malley, well, that's me, in case you didn't know it, has gone to Paris where she is teaching English and studying French. Susan Loughhead, I guess, just couldn't be anything but a mother because of her experience in lookiag after her brothers and sisters. She now has eight children of her own. Clayton Mikels, the quiet one, is a state policeman. Ralph Mikels is now the Mayor of Bedford. Marilyn Ogden is a concert pianist and organist with the National Orchestra. Barbara Patterson has also continued with her music. She is a noted singer. Our's is a nation with a big appetite and meatcutters are of vital importance. This is where Eddie Patterson comes into the picture, for he is one of the best. Pete Robey, I know you remember him well, is the President andowner of Robey's Jet Motors. Betty Jo Shewey is now ateacher at Parry McCluer High School. Sheldon Sorrels has taken over Authur Murray's dance studios all over the United States. Donald Staton is a famous Hollywood director. Vernon Staton is coaching for one of the National Baseball Leagues. Dorothy Stinnett has turned over a new leaf for now she believes in students attending school every day. She has become a visiting teacher. Sandra Tomlinson is married to a preacher. Wally Turnage who was always looking for some- thing has become an astronomer. Jean Wheeler is still living in Texas where her husband struck oil. Ronnie Wheeler was always fond of girls but now has put his interest to use, he is a cover-girl photographer. Bobby Williams is coaching on the Moon. Oh, well, he always did like moonlight! Martha Ann Wills, last but not least, has finally achievedher goal. Sheisa Doctor, but, instead of doctor - ing humans she doctors dogs on the planet ''Pluto. This is all of our class and they have done well for themselves, but however you might see them in twenty years always remember, Underclassmen, that the Class of '58 are your friends.
