Our officers were Milton Henson, president; Virginia Brugh, vice-president, and Jack McKec, secrctary-trcasurer. This year we made our dramatic debut in “Everybody's Crazy , a three-act comedy. Our play was ably directed by our pilot, Mrs. Graybill. The play was followed by our Junior Party given in the Community Hall. Another memorable event of this trip was the Constitution Day Program directed by Miss Mann in which we as Juniors © participated. This year we welcomed a new stewardoss, Miss Scales, who took Mrs. Calvin White's place in the Home Economics Department. Faithful captain Miller was replaced this year by Mr. F. W. Kling, Jr. whose position was taken by Mr. L. V. Schreiner. Nancy Gilley, one of our faithful band, left us this year and scottled in Charlottcsvillc. Early in September, 1938, we began our last voyage, this timc on “Senior Stretch . Once again wc changed pilots, Miss Guill succeeding Mrs. Graybill who retircd. We also welcomed two new stcwardesses to our crew, Miss Bosworth and Miss Nash, but sadly gave up our doar fricnd, Miss Mann, who met with a scrious accident early in the summer. By this timc desertions had reduced our number to twenty but wo gaily organized with Milton Henson, president; Edith McCormick, vice-president; and Roy Cash, secrotary- treasurer. Our last voyage has boen fillcd with adventures too numerous to rolate in detail. We must, however, mention the most momcntous. ‘In November, we presented in assembly a Thanksgiving play, The Dear, Dear Children , In February we reccived our class rings, the first of the newly adopted standard rings with a bust of Professor McClucr on ono side and the facade of P.M.H.S. on the othcr. On’April 13, 1939, our senior play, “Bringing Up Mother , directed by Miss Bosworth, was presentcd with great succcss. During our voyage our pilots have becn faithful and Loyal to us and in return we have grown very fond of them. Our Captain, ii. Kling, has been very faithful also during

the two yoars he has had charge of our voyage, We are deoply gratcful for his intcrest in our class. And now the end of the wonderful voyage of our high school lifc is in sight, but the class of '59 will go on socking discoverics and wondcrful adventures, for the important voyage of lifc is just beginning. We belicvo that wo are able to go out in life now and mect any tcst that is put before us and this is duc to the good in- structions that we have recoived from our captains, pilots, stowardesses, and stewards. We will try to prove our sin- ecre appreciation by always proving worthy of their cfforts.
