Something is lacking, Though we are the same: We can never forget His dearly-loved name. His life was so good So pure and fine; Why was it taken Rather than mine. He is gone for a while; We can easily tell He is happy in peace For we knew him too well. Page twenty-one SSI ee eee ees 1 O29 Se ee THE COMET esses c6 e -| = = Pit |- 3 a rm fit Lt. This program will be a short history of the “Famous Class | Mf ore he Marie H + ¥ We started out September 13, 1928, a band of jolly Juniors. Our first 4 ul duty was to elect our officers: Joe Glass, president; Helen Anthony, vice- fs president; Bessie Whitsell, treasurer. at Yon, — Aen — In October we ordered our pins and waited expectantly until Thanks- giving when they finally came. Of course then we were really more than excited and pleased. We were full fleged, “Jolly Juniors.” We had pins and believe me,' wore them. daa ae Pt -|- Then on December the first, to the surprise and sorrow of our entire city the news came that one of our most loved classmates had accidentally shot himself while hunting. Joe Graybill’s loss was something to the school and to us which could ever be replaced or forgotten. oR, aie Before we knew it though Christmas had come and we had three whole weeks to do nothing but have a good time. PPSt +PSt PP St) Pte + Pgs! Santa Claus was good to use all and we started the New Year ready and willing for the work that was before us. Exams were passed rapidly and more easily than we had expected nearly every one coming out on top. “rr aU actin Past peti 4 On February the fifteenth we gave a chapel entertainment and it was a 9 “Howeling success.” i And then February the twenty-fifth, we got the surprise of our lives— bes H : ail y Ada Cullen (imagine innocent little Ada!) got married. ; Then last, but in no sense of the word least, came “Cyclone Sally,” our «) Junior play. ¥) ; H We believe that our whole year was a success, but we cannot sign off without giving credit to our sponsor, Mr. Kling. “Buck” was always ready p4 when we needed him and willing to help us in anything that we undertook. We would have never have been what we are without his more than willing | i assistance. And now for any further information regarding us turn to station S-E-N-I-O-R also at P. M.H.S. on May the thirty-first, nineteen hundred and thirty, and see what has happened! !!!!! I thank you. oe wee) iste ee Shiba: PPSt PHSt PPS! PP Gt PP St! : | Fe (S74
