Cistieimeinessesse: THE C OMET itermermsssescome nd +1 iy i i Meo UNOiols OF FOUR HAPPY YEARS i + ¥ k A In September, nineteen hundred and twenty-five, a notable event oc- i by cured, one which will go down in the history of P. M. H. S. as something ¥ 4 very outstanding in its importance. Some thirty-five noisy, laughing and 4 ¥ very sophisticated additions to the student body of Parry McCluer High ¥ H School made their appearance. 4 These people seem to have had something in them which has brought a majority of them thru the completion of four years of high school. In 1925 they were children, but in 1929 they were young men and women ready and willing for what was to come after. $+ PPS+ PES |- - — — atte We shall follow them year by year in their development. That first year of high school is remembered for what they learned mainly that they were only beginning in the field of learning. Miss Carter, the sponsor of ; their class, gave them a true appreciation of what is good in literature. e And after a year of work they entered a summer of play with new ideas and-new thoughts. PPS+' DPS t- PHSs-| HSt-|- } In September of twenty-six they went into their Sophomore class to find as the sponsor of their class the very best teacher that Sophomores could wish. Miss Dold as a leader, as a teacher, and as a lady, would be + hard to equal. Under her leadership that Sophomore class evolved into a Junior class and Miss Emma Dold came with them to help them thru the third year of high school. iy at | atin tal, There is not enough space to name all the achievements made by that ¥ Junior class. But we shall not omit the outstanding success of the Junior a play. It was thru that play that the world learned of the dramatic ability of that exceptional class. bt: PPS PPS PPS PPS | PHS - - Now we come to the last year, that year which boys and girls look M4 forward to and which when it is passed leaves a memory of the best days he H of youth and happiness. In September Miss Lillian Mann met them all at ¢ A the door and she has led them or pushed them where ever they went. To A i her they owe one of the most fruitful years of their lives, to her they owe Ff A the success of that exceptional play “Cat O’ Nine Tails,” which will always rt be remembered because it can never be forgotten. Then in the two crowded y months of April and May, she kept everybody to their job. And now they rt have gone out to seek new worlds to conquer. i F t Or rE nad k« A Page seventeen ve ESSCSses ot eee «1 9 29 SSS ee SO | PPISt PPG PPS! DOSS - - aN] ,
