l : i I L 5 i r I I Grumblefs Speech I shouldn't have been elected grumbler. Why, Roger Stone, Anne Stone, or Norman Waid could win over me any day, but since I was chosen I would like to make a few complaints. Mary Sue, I will be glad when you get Charlie. l'm tired of hearing you talk about him. Gladys, I wish you would make up your mind whether it is C. W. or Simmes. Anne Graham, what is the matter? You're pretty good at getting boyfriends, but you can't seem to keep them. Marian, you don't have to wear something new every day just because you were elected best dressed girl. Linda Shaw, there are never enough copies of TORNADO TALK to go around. Can't you count? Roy, if laziness admits one to heaven, you are well on your way up there. Mary Dean, when you leave, will you please take your loud mouth with you? Marie, the election is over and you were elected prettiest girl. You can stop primping now. Virginia, can't you keep your mind off Brack long enough to pay attention in class? Kenneth, you are always talking about people that are short, but, if you don't know it, you're not exactly a giant yourself. Carolyn, who is your Romeo? Bring him out in public and let us see him. Judy, I surely wish Bill would come home, then maybe I woul'dn't have to wear ear plugs. Stella and Glenn, I know the Bug has bitten you but that is no reason to cut yourself off from the world. Hugh L., you are always talking, but do you know what you are talking about? Paul, since you are our star salesman, why don't you try your sales ability on some girl? Linda Turner, you don't have to study all the time to prove that you are the most studious Gene Simpson, if you don't get busy you are going to be here again next year. Patricia, now that you're going steady maybe you will be quiet for a while. Ronald, you are always late for school. ls it because you are so slow? Gail, never let it be said that your home and school duties interfere with your romantic life. Jeanne, why are you always blushing? Haven't you grown up yet? Milton, you were elected musician, but I've not heard you play a note. Doris, 'tis a cruel world you are going into. You had better learn to speak for your rights. Gene Harbin, why are you so quiet in class? Are you that quiet around your girlfriend? Annie Lois, you are always reading, but does it help you any? Garland, you seem to like the Martin High girls. What's wrong with Parrish girls? Frances, I have heard that the quietest are the meanest. Now I know it. Norma, if we have any money left in the treasury, I want us to buy you a comb and a mirror since you have worn out the ones you have. See, I haven't grumbled a bit. I have just expressed my opinion. -Qfiadivfazxafaaialc
